Happy Valentine’s Day Chicks!

God is so good!  There are certainly pro’s and con’s to every decision, including homeschooling.  One of the con’s I thought we were facing was the kids missing out on the class parties.  I know that’s silly, but it really was a concern I had, even though I can’t say I really remember my class parties as something not to be missed.

As always, God was not concerned about that, but knew I was.  He took care of us in a big way.  I’m so thankful for the awesome families God has introduced us to through homeschooling.  We had our annual Valentine party yesterday at the ice skating rink.  My kids talk about this party all year long because it’s the only time I take them ice skating.  They exchange valentine’s cards and candy, and then skate for about 2 1/2  hours.  My feet are sure it was more like 5 hours!

So much fun for all of us – Thank you, Lord, for providing us with great friends and fun times!

Oh! I forgot the chick part!

We finally went and bought new chicks.  Baby chicks are so adorable!  I’m a little nervous about keeping them alive, given our chick track record.  And, I hope we don’t end up with roosters!  They are still at the stage where they fall asleep in the kids’ hands!  Look how sweet:

While I’m catching up – we are currently number 10 on the boys’ waiting list!  Can you believe how fast it’s moving???  I have to start working on cleaning out our little man’s room.  It was my craft room.  Now, I’m trying to figure out where to put an entire room of scrapbooking, sewing, projects, etc.  Not that I have time to do any of it anyway.  Oh well, I’ll gladly give all of that stuff up to bring home our sweet son!  I can’t wait!!!

That is too funny because that was a concern I had with homeschool too. How will my kids live if they don't have class parties??!! The Lord has also provided a wonderful support system for us too. The boys had their first Vday party today... so fun!

That is awesome that you are #10!!! I can't get over how many referrals they are giving out right now. I am praying we are one of those soon. :)

I *think* you are in single digits :)

In looking at the brag site, there was a family that accepted a toddler so you should have moved up one :)

Congrats on single digits!

being a beginner homeschooler, i worry about that too. dylin worked so hard on making valentine's for all her friends...and didn't get any in return. she was completely unaware, but i was a little sad. her daddy made her one and that meant the world to her. anyway, i would like to find something for her for next year.
congrats on your new chickies-so cute!!!

and BIG CONGRATS on being #10! that is amazing!
